AKT-TÈK Percussion Duo Project
Es el nombre del proyecto que llevan a cabo dos percusionistas y amigos: Manuel Martínez Navarro y Jaume-Blai Santonja Espinós.
It is the name of the new project started by two percussion players and friends: Manuel Martínez Navarro and Jaume-Blai Santonja Espinós.
Compañeros de estudios desde los inicios, estos dos jóvenes siguen completando su formación en centros como ESMUC (Barcelona) o el Conservatorium van Amsterdam (Holanda). Ambos realizan una intensa labor orquestal, desde coincidir como miembros de la Joven Orquesta Nacional (JONDE) hasta colaboraciones individuales con orquestas como la Orquesta Nacional de España, Orquesta Sinfónica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya, Simfònica del Vallés, Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia, Rotterdam Philharmonic o Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra entre otras.
Collegues since the starting times, this two young musicians keep enriching their musical experiences in schools like ESMUC (Barcelona) or Concervatorium van Amsterdam (The Netherlands). Both have an intense orchestral life: being played together in JONDE (Spanish Youth Orchestra) and having different colaborations with several professional orchestras like Spain’s National Orchestra (ONE), Barcelona Symphony Orchestra (OBC), Vallés Symphony Orchestra, Galicia Symphony Orchestra, Rotterdam Philhamonic or Royal Concertgebouw.
Independientemente, AKT-TÈK surge por la necesidad de explorar nuevos caminos y experiencias que la percusión les concede. Creando este proyecto se pretende combinar dos personalidades artísticas en una misma idea musical, combinando experiencia orquestal, energía, la riqueza tímbrica de la percusión, nuevas tecnologías y el amor y respeto por la música que sus integrantes comparten. Cualquier reto musical será razón de ser para este ambicioso proyecto… que ya es realidad.
Independently, AKT-TÈK it is born from the curiosity of finding new ways and experiences into the percussion world. This project pretends the combination of two artistic personalities into a unic musical idea, using for that his orchestral experience, the energy, the sound richness of percussion, new technolgies and the love and respect to the music that both of them share. Whatever musical challenge will be an existing reason for this project… Which it is finally real.
